SAP Security Engineer - Perm - Omaha, NE - $124,450 -$150,100
The final salary or hourly wage, as applicable, paid to each candidate/applicant for this position is ultimately dependent on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate's/applicant's qualifications, skills, and level of experience as well as the geographical location of the position.

Our client is seeking a SAP Security Engineer in Omaha, NE
Role Description
This position ensures that the Company's technology initiatives comply with all relevant and applicable information security and privacy standards, federal and state regulations, and industry best practices.
As a member of the Information Assurance team, you will have the opportunity to grow your Cyber Security knowledge while using your current skills to improve the overall Cyber Security posture . Team members perform assessments of current and emerging SAP environments, provide secure implementation solutions, and work closely with the SAP Basis and other Tech and business teams to provide secure technology solutions for the Company.
The mission of the Information Assurance group is to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of computing resources, as well as providing a reliable and scalable security infrastructure. Team members are given the autonomy to explore new and creative solutions to securing the information technology landscape
SAP Security Engineer ensures that SAP systems align with security principles and business priorities, minimizing risks
SAP Security Engineer allows the Project FAST and SAP Basis teams to focus on system and feature implementation, while working with this dedicated resource to ensure information remains protected
This role is focused on SAP security while supporting new and existing system deployments and integrations
Design and implement SAP security solutions
Assess and guide secure SAP integrations and roles
Implement role management, access controls and authorization objects within SAP
Leverage IAS and GRC to automate role provisioning and assignment
Monitor and ensure compliance with SOX control objectives
Align to security policy, document processes, and understand security control objectives
Lead and execute compliance audits and remediation projects within established control areas
Implement technologies and automation processes to enhance the Company's security posture based on threats, attack vectors, and vulnerabilities
Assist in assessing, measuring, evaluating, and improving the Company's readiness to deal with cyber security and compliance risks
Mentor others to drive towards high quality deliverables
Deliver projects with a goal of zero defects in production
Skills & Requirements
Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Recent experience administering or auditing SAP
Ability to assess SAP configurations and vulnerabilities
An understanding of SAP systems, identity management, auditing tools, modules, or integration points to effectively manage and control user access
Aptitude to learn SAP security including ECC, BI/BW, BTP, IAS, GRC and S/4 HANA
Strong understanding of Identity and Access Management tools and logging and alerting systems
Working knowledge of segregation of duties analysis, sensitive transactions analysis
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent written and dynamic verbal communication skills
Must be flexible and able to handle stressful situations in a professional manner
Demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision
High degree of self-motivation, commitment and integrity
Ability to work well with others and as a member of a team
Experience implementing or assessing cyber security programs against the CIS or NIST CSF framework
Demonstrated understanding of industry standards (NIST 800-53, ISO 27002), control objectives, cyber threats and vulnerabilities
CISSP, other Security certification, or SAP Security certification
Understanding of RFC connections, Fiori and/or Workzone security for top-down business role and design
2+ years recent experience with one or more scripting languages: perl, python, PowerShell
Prior experience creating scripts to analyze data and automate processes
Prior experience in data classification and sensitive information handling procedures
