Job Summary

JKV International LLC is seeking an experienced Microsoft Fabric Analytics Engineer / Consultant to develop enterprise analytics solutions, design analytical data models, build business-ready datasets, and enable reporting and insights using Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.

The ideal candidate will combine strong analytical engineering skills with expertise in semantic modeling, data transformation, analytical architecture, and business intelligence. This role requires the ability to translate business requirements into reliable, governed, and scalable analytics solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement analytics solutions using Microsoft Fabric.

  • Develop and maintain analytical data models using Fabric Warehouse, Lakehouse, and related services.

  • Build and manage Power BI semantic models, datasets, relationships, measures, and calculation logic.

  • Develop complex DAX measures and optimize semantic model performance.

  • Use SQL and appropriate Fabric tools to transform data into business-ready analytical datasets.

  • Design dimensional models, including star schemas, fact tables, dimension tables, and slowly changing dimensions where required.

  • Integrate data engineering outputs with Power BI dashboards, reports, and enterprise analytics solutions.

  • Implement Direct Lake, Import, or DirectQuery approaches based on workload requirements and platform capabilities.

  • Optimize report performance, query execution, model size, refresh processes, and user experience.

  • Implement row-level security, object-level security, and appropriate data access controls.

  • Establish reusable semantic models, governed datasets, and consistent business metrics.

  • Collaborate with business users, data engineers, architects, and reporting teams to define KPIs and analytical requirements.

  • Support data validation, reconciliation, testing, deployment, and production troubleshooting.

  • Implement workspace management, deployment pipelines, version control, and development lifecycle best practices.

  • Document data models, business logic, measures, and analytics design decisions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric analytics capabilities.

  • Experience with Power BI, semantic models, DAX, and analytical data modeling.

  • Strong SQL skills for querying, validating, and transforming data.

  • Experience with Fabric Lakehouse, Warehouse, and OneLake concepts.

  • Knowledge of dimensional modeling, star schemas, fact and dimension tables, and analytical data architecture.

  • Experience integrating data sources and preparing datasets for enterprise reporting.

  • Understanding of Direct Lake, Import, and DirectQuery storage modes.

  • Experience with Power BI performance tuning, security, governance, and deployment.

  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical analytics solutions.

  • Strong communication skills and experience working with business and technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Microsoft Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate certification (DP-600).

  • Experience with Microsoft Purview, data governance, and enterprise security practices.

  • Familiarity with Dataflows Gen2, Fabric Data Factory, and notebook-based transformations.

  • Experience modernizing Power BI and Azure-based analytics platforms using Microsoft Fabric.

  • Knowledge of CI/CD, Git integration, and deployment pipelines.

  • Experience developing enterprise KPI frameworks and reusable analytical models.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is an experienced analytics engineering professional who can demonstrate hands-on expertise in Microsoft Fabric and Power BI, explain semantic modeling decisions, develop complex business measures, optimize analytics performance, and deliver governed analytical solutions.

Candidates whose experience is limited to basic dashboard development without strong SQL, data modeling, and semantic modeling expertise are not the primary target for this requirement.

Employment Details

  • Remote opportunity within the USA.

  • Contract employment on W2 through JKV International LLC.

  • Applicants must meet the employer's applicable work authorization and employment eligibility requirements.

Application
