Job Description

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in Playwright, TypeScript, and AI-assisted testing practices. The candidate will develop and maintain scalable automation frameworks, improve software quality, and leverage AI tools to accelerate test development, execution, and defect analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript.

  • Create and execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end automated test suites.

  • Implement Page Object Model (POM) and automation design patterns.

  • Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and release processes.

  • Use AI tools for test-case generation, script development, debugging, and defect analysis.

  • Perform cross-browser and responsive web application testing.

  • Automate REST API testing using Postman or Playwright API testing.

  • Analyze test failures, identify root causes, and collaborate with development teams.

  • Define test strategies, quality gates, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with product owners and stakeholders.

Required Technical Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with Playwright.

  • Proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript.

  • Experience building automation frameworks from scratch.

  • Knowledge of Page Object Model and automation design patterns.

  • Experience with UI, API, and end-to-end testing.

  • Understanding of SDLC, STLC, functional testing, and regression testing.

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control tools.

  • Familiarity with AI-assisted testing tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor AI, Claude, or ChatGPT.

  • Understanding of AI-driven test generation, self-healing tests, and automated defect analysis.

  • Knowledge of REST APIs, JSON payloads, authentication, and API validation.

  • Familiarity with performance, accessibility, and security testing concepts.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration abilities.

  • Strong ownership, attention to detail, and a quality-first mindset.
