Systems Administrator

Position Overview

The Intersect Group is seeking a Systems Administrator to support and maintain a complex Microsoft-based technology environment. This role is ideal for a hands on IT professional who enjoys solving challenging technical issues, supporting critical infrastructure, and working across servers, networks, virtualization, and end user technologies.

The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues, supporting enterprise infrastructure, and helping drive the continued evolution of the organization's internal IT capabilities. This position requires a strong technical foundation, exceptional problem solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment where no two days are the same.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and support Microsoft infrastructure, including Active Directory, Windows Server, and related technologies

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex server, network, virtualization, storage, and application issues

• Support Microsoft Intune environments, including device management, application deployment, and policy administration

• Diagnose and resolve issues related to software installations, system performance, connectivity, and end user support

• Manage and support VMware and virtualization technologies to maintain system stability and performance

• Troubleshoot printer connectivity, configuration, and operational issues across multiple locations

• Utilize Jira to document, track, prioritize, and resolve support tickets and technical issues

• Collaborate with internal teams to improve infrastructure reliability, security, and operational efficiency

Key Requirements

• 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise infrastructure, systems administration, or network administration environments

• Hands on experience with Microsoft Intune administration and deployment required

• Intune certification strongly preferred

• Strong experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, Windows Server, and Microsoft ecosystem technologies

• Experience supporting network infrastructure, server environments, virtualization platforms, and enterprise storage solutions

• Proficiency with VMware and virtualization technologies

• Experience troubleshooting application deployments, system performance issues, and complex technical problems

• Familiarity with Jira or similar ticketing and service management platforms

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to solve challenging and intermittent technical issues

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with technical and nontechnical stakeholders

• Ability to prioritize competing demands and perform successfully in a fast paced, high growth environment
