IT Support Technician

Babbitting Service Inc in West Allis, WI seeks an IT Support Technician to support a precision manufacturing environment. You'll provide hands-on desktop, laptop, and printer support, manage user accounts, and troubleshoot shop-floor PCs and networked equipment. Responsibilities include resolving help desk tickets, maintaining hardware and software, assisting with backups and updates, and supporting basic network connectivity. You'll work closely with a small, skilled industrial team, ensuring reliable systems that keep our high-precision manufacturing and critical customer operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical support for desktops, laptops, industrial PCs, and peripherals
• Respond to and resolve help desk tickets and user support requests
• Install, configure, and maintain Windows workstations and common manufacturing applications
• Support basic network connectivity, including switches, Wi-Fi, and cabling issues
• Administer user accounts, permissions, and access in Active Directory and related systems
• Assist with system updates, patches, antivirus, and backup routines
• Document issues, fixes, and standard procedures for repeatable support
• Collaborate with manufacturing staff to ensure reliability of shop-floor systems
• Escalate complex network or server issues to senior IT resources or vendors
• Contribute to a culture of safety, reliability, and continuous improvement in all IT work
