ROLE OVERVIEW:

• We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer – Service Provider WAN (SP WAN) to join the Professional Services Organization.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, automating, and supporting complex customer network environments. This position requires deep expertise across MPLS, BGP, EVPN, ISIS, IPv6, SD-WAN, routing, switching, and data-center networking, along with strong network automation experience using Ansible, Python, Arista AVD, CloudVision Portal (CVP), and CI/CD pipelines.
• The engineer will work closely with customers, partners, TAC, development teams, and internal engineering organizations to deliver highly scalable and reliable networking solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Global Network Architecture & Operations
• Design, implement, and support large-scale Service Provider and enterprise network deployments.
• Lead MPLS design, implementation, troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance in production environments.
• Architect and deploy EVPN-based solutions, including VXLAN underlays and overlays where applicable.
• Lead advanced BGP and MP-BGP design and operations, including complex routing policies.
• Design, implement, and optimize ISIS routing across Service Provider core and data-center environments.
• Design and deploy IPv6 addressing and dual-stack architectures.
• Plan, implement, and support SD-WAN solutions, including integration with existing MPLS and underlay networks.
• Build and maintain network automation using Ansible, Python, Arista AVD, and CloudVision Portal (CVP).
• Integrate network automation into CI/CD pipelines for reliable and repeatable configuration, testing, and deployment.
• Support data-center routing and switching environments, including leaf-spine architectures.
• Assist with configuration build-outs, Proof of Concepts (POCs), testing, and design validation.
• Support implementation and change-control activities and provide bug scrubs and code recommendations.
• Serve as the technical interface to TAC, internal development teams, and customers on architectural and operational issues.
• Translate business requirements into robust network solutions spanning MPLS, SD-WAN, EVPN, and automated underlay/overlay designs.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 10+ years of hands-on network design, deployment, operations, and troubleshooting experience.
• 5+ years of Service Provider Networking experience – Required.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience.
• Deep expertise in BGP, including advanced design, MP-BGP, and complex routing policies.
• Strong hands-on MPLS design, implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with EVPN and related overlay technologies.
• Proven experience with ISIS routing protocol design and operations.
• Strong knowledge of IPv6 design, deployment, and dual-stack operations.
• Experience designing and supporting SD-WAN solutions.
• Network automation experience using Ansible and Python.
• Experience with Arista AVD (Arista Validated Designs).
• Experience with Arista CloudVision Portal (CVP).
• Experience with CI/CD tools and practices applied to network infrastructure.
• Strong routing, switching, troubleshooting, and network architecture skills.
• Excellent analytical, communication, documentation, and customer-facing skills.

• CCIE Service Provider (CCIE SP)
• CCIE Data Center (CCIE DC)
• Arista ACE L3/L5 or equivalent advanced networking certification
• Strong Arista networking experience
• VXLAN/EVPN fabric implementation experience
• Datacenter switching and routing experience
• Leaf-spine architecture experience
• Professional Services or customer-facing consulting experience
