Join a Thriving Practice on the Stunning Causeway Coast

Millburn Veterinary Practice is looking for a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly, experienced team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. We're open to both full-time and part-time applicants and can offer flexibility for the right person.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy, community-focused practice with a varied caseload, a supportive team culture and genuine opportunities for professional growth. In addition to a welcoming working environment where your ideas and interests are valued, you'll benefit from a local gym membership and the possibility of a permanent opportunity in the future.

We’re looking for a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly, enthusiastic team!

A Role That Offers Variety and Clinical Satisfaction

Millburn is a busy first-opinion practice with a fantastic mix of medical and surgical cases. Whether you enjoy consulting, diagnostics, internal medicine, imaging or surgery, you'll find plenty of opportunities to develop your skills while maintaining a diverse and rewarding caseload.

Our experienced team manages a wide range of cases in-house, providing excellent continuity of care and allowing our vets to work cases up thoroughly. We pride ourselves on delivering a high standard of clinical care while maintaining the personal relationships and supportive atmosphere that are only possible within a close-knit practice.

This role will suit a Veterinary Surgeon who enjoys the pace and variety of general practice and values being part of a team that genuinely enjoys working together.

Working Pattern and Work-Life Balance

We're happy to consider both full-time and part-time applicants and understand that flexibility is important.

Our full-time rota consists of a four-day week, working 36 hours across Monday to Friday. Surgery opening hours are between 9:00am and 7:00pm, with shifts scheduled accordingly.

The role includes participation in a shared Saturday rota, currently 1 in 6 Saturdays from 8:00am to 2:00pm, with consultations commencing at 9:00am. There is also participation in a shared out-of-hours rota of approximately 1 in 10, with a day off in lieu provided.

While this is our standard rota, we're always happy to discuss alternative arrangements and working patterns with the right candidate. We know that one size doesn't fit all, and we're committed to finding a balance that works for both our team and our patients.

A Practice That Invests in Quality Care

Alongside a varied caseload, you'll be joining a genuinely friendly and supportive team that is committed to clinical excellence, teamwork and creating a positive experience for both patients and clients.
