Senior Systems Engineer | Sheerness, United Kingdom | On-site | £45,000 – £60,000

The Role

  • Translate complex customer needs into multi-level requirements.
  • Develop advanced system architectures using Model-Based Systems Engineering.
  • Oversee the integration, analysis, and testing of real-time systems (electronic, mechanical, optical, software).
  • Lead collaborative technical work packages, ensuring alignment with customer expectations.
  • Guide and mentor other engineers, fostering team capability development.
  • Drive system evolution using best-practice lifecycle processes and modern approaches.

What You'll Need

  • Proven experience in requirements management, design analysis, modelling, and simulation.
  • Proficiency with tools such as DOORS, Siemens Polarion, Enterprise Architect, MATLAB, and/or Simulink, and design methodologies like SysML.
  • Experience with customer and/or supplier liaison for technical aspects.
  • A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant Scientific/Engineering subject.
  • Experience in integration, test, and verification of real-time and/or safety-related systems.
  • Understanding of safety assessment processes and their impact on design.
