Job Description

Summary
The Decisioning and Communications Strategist, Collections & Servicing develops and 
implements risk-based treatment strategies for pre-delinquent, delinquent, and charged off 
accounts. This role partners with business leaders to align decisioning rules and contact 
strategies with portfolio performance goals, using financial services, risk management, FICO 
Decision Modeler and CCS Flows, and Salesforce Marketing Cloud expertise. The incumbent 
supports the full product lifecycle from concept through launch, adoption, enhancement, 
and performance optimization.

Essential Functions
• Roadmap & Vision: Own long-term product strategy and maintain an 18-month 
roadmap informed by portfolio trends, leadership input, member feedback, and 
champion/challenger testing. Prioritize the product backlog to maximize value for 
PenFed and its members. Translate delinquency risks and contact strategies into epics, 
features, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Ensure product vision and requirements 
support scalability and long-term value. Monitor collections contact strategy and digital 
experience trends. Identify opportunities to apply AI and emerging technologies.
• Cross-Functional Leadership & Support: Influence partners to align strategy and 
roadmaps. Partner with Decision Management & Execution, FICO, and technology teams. 
Serve as the primary FICO relationship contact. Provide product education to technical 
and support teams.
• Capability Rationalization: Align decisioning, analytics, optimization, and cloud 
capabilities. Manage scope changes, optimize the product, resolve capability issues 
proactively, and manage product development costs.
• Data & Reporting: Define and track KPIs, partner with analytics teams, and make datadriven recommendations to improve delinquency and loss performance.

Education and Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Six years of enterprise software product management, platform strategy, or SaaS/PaaS 
delivery experience.
• Three years of hands-on experience with FICO Platform, Decision Modeler, Customer 
Communication Services, or similar technologies.
• Financial services, collections, or loan servicing operations experience.
• Strong organizational, analytical, communication, stakeholder management, Jira, 
Confluence, and Agile collaboration skills.

Licenses and Certifications
• Agile Product Manager or Product Owner certification required.
Classification: Internal
• FICO Decision Modeler training or experience required.
• FICO CCS Flows training or experience preferred.
• Salesforce Marketing Cloud training or experience preferred
