Our client is looking for an Field Services Technician for a project and below is the detailed requirement.

Job Title: Field Services Techniciain

Location: Joplin, MO / Downey, CA / Riverton, KS / Londonderry, NH / Tahoe Vista, CA - Hybrid

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in infrastructure and systems support.
  • 8–10 years of hands-on experience in enterprise desktop support, field services, systems support, or endpoint engineering environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience providing advanced desktop support and troubleshooting complex hardware, operating system, software, and workstation-related incidents.
  • Strong proficiency with Windows workstation operating systems, endpoint configuration, user profile management, desktop applications, and workstation troubleshooting.
  • Experience with enterprise endpoint management platforms such as Microsoft Intune, SCCM/MECM, Tanium, BigFix, Ivanti, or similar tools for software distribution, patch management, inventory, and policy enforcement.
  • Strong experience with desktop and endpoint patching, including operating system patches, third-party application updates, patch compliance monitoring, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Experience deploying software packages, configuration updates, security policies, and standardized workstation images across enterprise environments.
  • Experience with desktop imaging, configuration baselines, workstation standardization, and security hardening.
  • Strong understanding of endpoint security fundamentals, including endpoint protection tools, encryption policies, compliance controls, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Experience monitoring endpoint health through centralized dashboards, management consoles, logs, and reporting tools to identify trends and recurring issues.
  • Familiarity with scripting and automation, particularly PowerShell or similar scripting technologies, for log collection, configuration changes, troubleshooting, and basic remediation workflows.
  • Experience performing root cause analysis for recurring desktop and endpoint issues and implementing sustainable remediation solutions.
  • Experience with asset management activities, including workstation lifecycle tracking, hardware validation, software inventory, and license verification.
  • Strong experience collaborating with Service Desk, Network, Application, Security, and Infrastructure teams to resolve complex endpoint-related issues.
  • Strong documentation skills, including creating technical procedures, knowledge articles, troubleshooting guides, and resolution documentation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to provide technical support to both technical and non-technical users.
  • Ability to work in an onsite environment, provide in-person support, manage walk-up requests, and collaborate closely with local business teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide advanced onsite desktop and field services support by diagnosing and resolving complex hardware, operating system, application, and workstation incidents.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve endpoint issues through both in-person and secure remote support tools to restore workstation functionality in a timely manner.
  • Deploy and maintain standardized desktop images, configuration baselines, and workstation configurations to ensure consistent performance, security, and compliance.
  • Administer enterprise endpoint management platforms to deploy software packages, operating system updates, patches, configuration changes, and security policies.
  • Perform desktop patching activities, monitor patch compliance, and remediate missing or failed patches to maintain secure and compliant endpoints.
  • Monitor desktop and endpoint environments through centralized management consoles, dashboards, logs, and reporting tools to identify health issues and incident trends.
  • Collaborate with Service Desk teams on escalated incidents by providing advanced troubleshooting guidance and technical resolution support.
  • Perform root cause analysis for recurring endpoint issues and recommend long-term remediation actions to improve desktop stability and reduce repeated incidents.
  • Coordinate with Network, Application, Security, and Infrastructure teams to validate endpoint configurations, connectivity, application performance, and security requirements.
