Job Description

Network Engineer Level 3 - Colorado Springs, CO (Onsite, Active Secret Clearance Required) About the Role Indotronix is seeking a skilled Network Engineer Level 3 to join our onsite team in Colorado Springs, CO. In this critical role, you will implement, maintain, and optimize enterprise network infrastructure, ensuring robust and secure connectivity. You'll work closely with senior engineers on network design, support high-impact projects, and lead installations at remote locations. Responsibilities - Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain network devices (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto).

  • Ensure reliable network performance across LAN/WAN environments and proactively resolve connectivity issues.
  • Implement core networking technologies including VLANs, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), and basic security controls.
  • Conduct network traffic analysis, root cause investigations, and thorough documentation of resolutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams on upgrades, changes, and infrastructure projects.
  • Travel to remote sites for network installations and provide timely updates to program stakeholders.
  • Support critical network activities outside standard business hours as needed.
  • Deliver clear presentations and technical documentation using Microsoft Office tools (PowerPoint, Visio).
  • Perform additional tasks as required by the program.

Required Skills and Experience - Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in network engineering.

  • Active Secret Security Clearance (U.S.).
  • IAT Level II 8570 Compliant Certification (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA).
  • Current CCNA or JNCIA certification.
  • Proficient in OSI Model, TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and VLANs.
  • Experienced with network traffic analysis, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
  • Direct experience with Juniper, Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto firewalls, WAN optimizers, TACLANEs, and optical transport equipment.
  • Skilled in UDP multicast, SONET, MSPP, GRE Tunnels, and multi-vendor switching/routing.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills; adept in Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio.

Preferred Skills - Top Secret Clearance.

  • Advanced certifications: CCNP, JNCIP.
  • Experience with VMware NSX, vSAN, Aria, and network automation (Ansible).
  • Familiarity with DoD security practices, including STIG compliance and system accreditation.
