Job Description Summary
The Lead Professional – Contract Management provides contract management support for the execution of domestic and international power generation projects. Working under the guidance of experienced Contract Managers and Project Leaders, this role assists in the administration of customer contracts, subcontract agreements, commercial documentation, change orders, claims support, and risk management activities.
This position is designed for professionals with a completed university degree and approximately 3+ years of project, commercial, legal, engineering, or contract management experience who are looking to further develop their expertise in project contract management within a global environment.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Support the administration of customer contracts, subcontracts, and consortium agreements throughout project execution.
- Assist in identifying contractual risks and opportunities and support the implementation of mitigation actions.
- Prepare and maintain contract management documentation, records, correspondence, and contract databases.
- Track contractual notifications, deliverables, milestones, and obligations to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Support preparation of change orders, variation requests, claims submissions, notices, and commercial correspondence.
- Assist in maintaining project risk registers, event logs, and claims trackers.
- Work closely with Project Managers, Planning, Sourcing, Finance, and Legal teams to support project objectives.
- Support contract reviews and analysis of customer and supplier contractual requirements.
- Assist with insurance claim administration and vendor recovery activities when required.
- Participate in customer, supplier, and internal project meetings and prepare meeting records and action trackers.
- Support project commercial reporting and documentation required for project reviews.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Contract Management function.
- Develop knowledge of contract law principles, project execution processes, and claims management practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Law, Finance, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in project execution, contract administration, commercial management, procurement, legal support, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to review, interpret, and understand contractual documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work effectively within cross-functional and multicultural teams.
- Willingness to learn commercial negotiation and claims management practices.
Desired Characteristics
- Exposure to EPC, infrastructure, construction, energy, or industrial projects.
- Basic understanding of commercial and contract law principles.
- Knowledge of project management and risk management concepts.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Customer-focused mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Demonstrated initiative and eagerness to develop within the Contract Management career path.
- Experience working in an international business environment is a plus.
- Additional language skills are advantageous.
