Build the Automation Frameworks Behind Enterprise-Scale Mobile Applications

We're seeking a Mobile Automation Engineer (Android) who thrives on solving complex quality challenges and building automation solutions from the ground up. This is an opportunity to work on high-visibility mobile applications used at scale while partnering closely with engineering teams to drive quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design, develop, and maintain mobile automation frameworks for Android applications
• Build automated UI, functional, regression, integration, and performance tests
• Create scalable test solutions using Appium and open-source automation tools
• Write and maintain automation code using Java
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and QA teams to improve release quality
• Participate in code reviews and automation standards discussions
• Maintain and enhance automated regression suites as applications evolve
• Support automated testing within CI/CD pipelines
• Troubleshoot application and automation issues to identify root causes
• Help define testing strategies for new mobile features and products

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of experience in software test automation or SDET environments
• 5+ years of Android experience using Java and/or Kotlin
• Strong hands-on Java development experience
• Mobile automation experience using Appium (required)
• Experience designing and building automation frameworks from scratch
• Experience writing automated UI and functional tests
• Experience with Selenium and TestNG
• Experience with Shell Scripting
• Experience working with source control and CI/CD tools such as:
  • Jenkins
  • Git
  • Bitbucket
  • Perforce
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Compensation & Benefits Disclosure (California)

In accordance with California pay transparency requirements, the expected pay rate for this position is:
$71.00/hour
Actual compensation may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education, and overall qualifications.
Benefits eligibility, where applicable, will be discussed during the interview process.

Location: San Francisco, CA
Work Model: Hybrid
Duration: 12-Month Contract

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $71.00 - $71.00/hr.
