We are partnering with a well-established electrical contractor seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Project Manager to join its growing team.

This position will take ownership of large and complex electrical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for the financial performance, scheduling, procurement, field coordination, client relationships, and overall successful delivery of assigned projects.

The ideal candidate brings a strong electrical contracting background, understands both the operational and financial sides of project delivery, and has experience leading project teams while working closely with field leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage electrical construction projects from preconstruction through final closeout

• Maintain responsibility for project budgets, financial reporting, forecasting, labor, materials, expenses, and profitability

• Develop and maintain project budgets based on construction documents and project requirements

• Prepare monthly financial projections and monitor project performance against established budgets

• Develop schedules of values and oversee monthly progress billing

• Manage project cash flow and identify potential financial risks

• Price, track, negotiate, and manage change orders throughout the project lifecycle

• Oversee project submittals, RFIs, drawings, correspondence, change logs, and other project documentation

• Coordinate material procurement, buyouts, releases, and major deliveries

• Work closely with field leadership to ensure materials, information, drawings, and resources are available when required

• Review construction drawings and coordinate with field and BIM/VDC teams to support proper installation

• Establish project cost codes and production tracking alongside field leadership

• Assist with labor productivity tracking, forecasting, and analysis

• Review project schedules and identify potential delays, risks, or areas requiring corrective action

• Conduct regular jobsite visits and participate in project meetings

• Maintain strong communication with general contractors, owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors

• Support estimating, preconstruction, and design-build efforts as required

• Build and manage project teams that may include Project Managers, Project Engineers, BIM/VDC personnel, administrative support, and field leadership

• Mentor developing team members and support their continued professional growth

• Oversee project closeout, including as-built drawings, O&M documentation, and other turnover requirements

• Protect the company's financial and contractual interests while maintaining strong client and project relationships

Qualifications

• 10+ years of electrical construction project management experience

• Strong background managing commercial electrical construction projects

• Demonstrated experience managing project teams and field operations

• Strong understanding of project financials, budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and profitability

• Experience with change order pricing, billing, and project cash flow

• Strong labor tracking, production tracking, and scheduling capabilities

• Experience with estimating, preconstruction, and design-build projects

• Ability to analyze project information and proactively identify financial or operational risks

• Strong understanding of electrical construction drawings and project documentation

• Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Proven ability to develop relationships with clients, general contractors, field teams, subcontractors, and vendors

• Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring and developing project team members
