Job Title: Material Handler

Job Location: Pomona, CA

Job Type: Contract

Pay Range: $15.26hr - $20.26hr

Job Overview:

Loads, unloads, and moves materials within or near the plant, yard, or work site. Reads and follows work orders and/or oral instructions. Uses hand tools to open containers. Transports materials using a handtruck, electric dolly, wheelbarrow, or other devices.

Responsibilities:

• Loads, unloads, and moves materials (crates, boxes, and raw materials) within or near the plant, yard, or work site.

Qualifications:

• Previous material handling experience is needed.
• The candidate should have good computer skills and experience with ERP or similar systems.
• The candidate should have previous material handler, shipping and receiving, or inventory and warehouse experience, including use of a pallet jack and shipping procedures.
• Maintains manufacturing inventory, keeps accurate records of manufacturing inventory data, performs restocking, and inventory acceptance sampling.
• Performs cycle counts and ensures that inventory is clearly labeled.
• Verifies and maintains material inventory and sample request forms.
• The candidate should have good attendance and be willing to learn.
• Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent experience.
• The candidate should have good verbal and written communication skills.
• The candidate should be able to work on multiple tasks as a team member and/or as an individual contributor.

Physical Requirements(Due to nature of job, The candidate must have):

• Ability to load, unload, and move materials.
• Ability to transport materials using a handtruck, electric dolly, wheelbarrow, or other devices.
