Technical Training & Development Manager
Salary - Circa 49,155 dependent on skills and experience plus Car Allowance

Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Full-time (Flexibility for part-time)

What will you be doing?
Reporting directly to the Training and Development Business Partner for our Water Services business unit, you will partner with key operational teams to ensure the delivery of innovative, timely and cost effective technical training and assessment. You will source and develop unique training solutions and benchmark these externally to ensure we are the leading performer in the use of new treatment techniques and equipment, with a particular focus on operational best practice. This position will specialise in the area of Water Supply Treatment so you must possess a strong background in this area and have a proven record of Water Supply Treatment and Water Supply Treatment experience.
This exciting opportunity is integral to the development and implementation of consistent operating standards and for the continuous review and improvement of our important water supply treatment processes.
Working with operational managers and other operational specialists you will ensure that training is designed and developed to maximise value for money, reduce accidents and incidents and ensure the competence of our staff. Delivering great customer service is important to us so you will ensure that training activities and materials are efficiently delivered with a strong focus on customer service.
What do you need?
We are looking for an experienced Training and Development Manager who has the passion and experience to deliver successful training initiatives that drive performance. In particular you will need to have:
A recognised Health and Safety qualification ie. IOSH
Knowledge and experience of front line operations and an understanding of water supply treatment processes. Essential minimum of 3 years of front-line operational experience s for Water Supply or Treatment .
A recognised training qualification e.g. TAQA or A1 - While this is not an essential requirement, we are happy to support the successful candidate in gaining it as a development opportunity
A good understanding of operation and maintenance of mechanical assets
Excellent training and presentation skills
Excellent communication and facilitation skills
Strong organisational and prioritising skills
The ability to challenge effectively at all levels
An excellent customer service focus
