About the Role

We're looking for a Mobile QA Automation Engineer to own the quality of our mobile web and PWA experiences. You'll design, build, and maintain automated tests using Playwright across real-world device and browser conditions, and work closely with developers, designers, and product managers to catch issues before they reach users.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain end-to-end test suites in Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript) covering mobile web and PWA flows
• Configure device emulation projects (iOS Safari/WebKit, Android Chrome) with viewport, touch, geolocation, locale, and network conditions
• Build reusable page objects, fixtures, and utilities to keep tests fast, stable, and readable
• Implement visual regression, accessibility, and responsive layout checks
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins) with parallel execution, sharding, and trace/video artifacts
• Run tests on cloud device providers (BrowserStack, LambdaTest, or similar) for real-device coverage
• Investigate and triage flaky tests and production defects, and document clear reproduction steps
• Partner with engineers on testability, shift-left practices, and test strategy
• Contribute to manual exploratory testing where automation isn't the right fit

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in QA automation, with 6+ years using Playwright
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScript
• Solid understanding of mobile web behavior: responsive design, touch events, viewport and orientation changes, and mobile browser quirks
• Experience with CI/CD integration and running tests in parallel
• Familiarity with API testing (REST) and mocking network requests
• Working knowledge of Git and pull request workflows
• Strong written communication and comfort working asynchronously in a remote team
