About the Opportunity

Join a fast-growing clean-energy technology company developing advanced thermal energy storage solutions for commercial, industrial, and mission-critical facilities. This role will focus on integrating high-impact chilled-water and cooling-plant systems that help improve data center capacity, energy efficiency, resiliency, and grid stability.

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Systems Engineer with strong HVAC, hydronic, and chilled-water expertise to lead mechanical integration projects from design through commissioning across the United States.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the mechanical design and integration of thermal energy storage and chilled-water systems.
  • Develop and review P&IDs, hydronic piping layouts, equipment arrangements, valve schedules, and controls integration interfaces.
  • Perform hydraulic and pipe-stress analyses and support code-compliant engineering documentation.
  • Integrate systems with chillers, cooling towers, heat exchangers, pumps, and BAS/BMS platforms.
  • Collaborate with data center operators, MEP firms, contractors, design engineers, controls integrators, and commissioning teams.
  • Support site surveys, startup, commissioning, and functional testing activities.
  • Provide technical input for presales efforts, proposals, and RFP responses.
  • Create or apply automation tools, such as Python or Excel/VBA, to improve engineering analyses and documentation.
  • Partner with global R&D and product teams to refine system designs and deployment methods.
  • Mentor junior engineers as the engineering team expands.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering; PE license preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in HVAC, chilled-water systems, or energy infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of hydronic systems, thermodynamics, cooling plants, and BAS/BMS integration.
  • Experience coordinating work across mechanical, controls, and electrical disciplines.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Plant 3D, or similar design tools.
  • Familiarity with commissioning, startup, and field-execution processes.
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 20% of the time.

  • Experience with hydraulic or pipe-stress analysis software, such as Pipe-Flo or AutoPIPE.
  • Familiarity with energy/load modeling tools, including TRACE or HAP.
  • Experience using Python, VBA, Dynamo, or AI tools to automate engineering workflows.
  • Experience preparing technical narratives, proposals, or RFP responses.
  • Background in retrofit projects, operational facilities, or fast-growth environments.
  • Work on advanced clean-energy infrastructure supporting the fast-growing data center market.
  • Combine hands-on field execution with sophisticated engineering design.
  • Contribute to high-visibility, mission-critical projects with meaningful environmental impact.
  • Build a path toward technical leadership within a growing engineering organization.
  • Receive a competitive compensation package including base salary, bonus potential, benefits, and stock options.
