About our client
Our client is an entrepreneurial private equity firm with a small team and a flexible mandate, investing in a broad range of equity and related opportunities across the DACH market. They have successfully raised significant capital, have closed several transactions in the last couple of years and are continuing to enjoy a great deal pipeline. The team is now looking to hire an additional team member at Associate level to continue their expansion. The firm is based in Munich. What the job involves

• Drive origination and deal execution: from initial screening through to closing
• Build and stress-test financial models, and lead commercial and market due diligence workstreams
• Get directly involved with portfolio companies, supporting value creation initiatives and key strategic decisions
• Develop investment cases, board materials, and presentations for both internal discussions and external stakeholders
• Work hand-in-hand with a lean team with direct exposure to partners from day one

Who we are looking for

• Relevant experience, ideally from investment banking, consulting, or a private equity platform
• Open to non-traditional backgrounds - STEM, engineering, or other non-finance routes are very welcome alongside classic finance/business CVs
• Genuine entrepreneurial drive and a real passion for investing
• Comfortable thinking in lower mid-market terms and able to build genuine rapport and trust with founders and management teams
• An entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable operating without heavy structure or handholding
• Business fluent in both German and English
