Power Systems Test Engineer

GE Vernova seeks a Testing Engineer to validate advanced power, grid, and electrification systems that enable the global energy transition. In this role, you will design and execute test plans for high reliability equipment, controls, and software used in utilities and renewable energy. You will develop automated and simulation-based tests, analyze performance and safety data, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues. Working in lab and on-site environments, you'll help ensure our technologies deliver safe, efficient, and low carbon power worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and document test plans for power and grid systems, components, and software used in energy applications
• Develop and automate test procedures, including hardware-in-the-loop and simulation-based testing for utilities and renewable energy solutions
• Analyze test data to validate performance, reliability, and safety against technical specifications and industry standards
• Collaborate with design, systems, and field engineering teams to diagnose issues, define corrective actions, and improve product robustness
• Support grid integration, commissioning, and troubleshooting of equipment and controls in lab and on-site environments
• Maintain test environments, calibration, and safety compliance for high voltage and rotating equipment
• Contribute to continuous improvement of verification methodologies, tools, and documentation
• Prepare clear technical reports and present findings to engineering, quality, and customer stakeholders
