Technical Writer II with Security Clearance

• Develops and edits material for reports, manuals, briefs, proposals, instruction books, catalogs, and related technical and administrative publications concerned with work methods and procedures, and installation, operation, and maintenance of technical systems.
• Typical products include maintenance and operations manuals, technical systems descriptions, logistical reports, project status reports, and design review documentation.
• Organize material and completes writing assignment according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology.
• Performs technical writing assignments with directions from senior writers or supervisors using prescribed formats with sample materials.
• Receives and incorporates technical information provided by the development team Engineers and project management.
• Performs technical writing assignments with minimal direct supervision.
• Develop materials that may not have prescribed standards.
• Writer interviews production and engineering personnel to review technical documentation to develop the understanding required to perform writing assignments.
• Writer reviews written materials and recommended revisions or changes in scope, format, and content. Desired education:
• High School diploma or GED with a minimum of 3 years of experience relative to the functional description.

Security Clearance

• Security clearance required TOP SECRET.
