Job Description

We are seeking a Field Service Technician to provide on-site technical service, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair support for customer equipment. This position is ideal for someone with basic electrical and mechanical knowledge who enjoys hands-on technical work and can troubleshoot problems independently.

The Field Service Technician will perform routine maintenance and component replacement, diagnose equipment issues, maintain service records, and provide timely updates throughout the repair process. The technician will manage assigned service calls, follow established safety and security procedures, and escalate complex issues when additional technical support is required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform minor maintenance, repairs, and component replacement at the module level.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems using service call information and error logs.
  • Apply basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills to resolve technical issues.
  • Maintain parts inventory and service-related records.
  • Provide accurate status updates throughout the service and repair process.
  • Take ownership of assigned customer issues through resolution according to service requirements.
  • Complete accurate and timely service reports and documentation.
  • Follow established safety and security procedures while working at customer locations.
  • Complete required technical training and certifications.
  • Organize and manage daily service calls efficiently.
  • Escalate issues appropriately when additional technical assistance is required.
  • Work independently while maintaining professional communication with customers and support teams.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 0–1 year of related technical, maintenance, repair, or field service experience.
  • Basic electrical and mechanical aptitude.
  • Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to learn new technical skills quickly.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Android smartphone for receiving work orders and accessing technical documentation.
  • Basic hand tools, including #1 and #2 flathead and Phillips screwdrivers.

Physical and Work Requirements

  • Ability to bend, squat, walk, stand, and sit for extended periods.
  • Ability to travel throughout the assigned service area.
  • Ability to carry and lift tools and parts weighing approximately 1–50 lbs.
  • Ability to work a typical Monday–Friday schedule, with start times generally around 8:00 AM or 9:00 AM depending on the assigned service area.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts, nights, or weekends when required.
  • Ability to respond to scheduled or call-by-call service assignments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree or technical degree.
  • Previous field service, equipment repair, maintenance, or technical support experience.
  • Experience working with ATMs, banking equipment, electronic equipment, industrial equipment, or similar systems.
  • Experience with component replacement and equipment troubleshooting.
