Job Description

About Mariana Minerals

Mariana Minerals is a software-first, vertically integrated minerals company on a mission to supply the critical minerals powering modern energy, AI, and defense technologies. We’re reimagining the minerals supply chain by combining deep industry expertise with advanced software, automation, and data-driven decision-making.

As an Electrician on our new Moab project team (formerly Lisbon Mines), you'll handle wiring, instrumentation, and PLC work on new equipment and systems.

The ideal candidate thrives on variety and wants to be part of a growing company. The work varies week to week, from building panels and calibrating instruments to helping bring PLC systems online. As one of the first members of a new project team, you'll often own a job from start to finish and build new skills along the way.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, wire, and terminate equipment, panels, and control systems for new projects

  • Install, calibrate, and troubleshoot field instrumentation

  • Support PLC work, including logic troubleshooting, I/O checkout, and bringing systems online

  • Read and work from electrical drawings, schematics, and control diagrams

  • Plan and carry out small electrical projects independently

  • Partner with the project mechanic and project engineer on installs and startups

  • Follow electrical safety practices, including lockout/tagout and arc flash procedures

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as an industrial electrician, instrumentation technician, or controls/electronics technician. Journeyman preferred not required.

  • Hands-on experience with PLC-based control systems and industrial controls

  • Strong instrumentation skills, including calibrating and troubleshooting 4–20 mA loops, pressure transducers, and flow meters

  • Advanced diagnostic and root-cause troubleshooting on electrical, electronic, and control systems

  • Experience with industrial networking and communication protocols

  • Comfort working independently and a willingness to jump into unfamiliar systems and learn them quickly

  • Background in oil and gas, mining, manufacturing, or other heavy industrial field environments

  • Experience with VFDs, motor controls, data acquisition, or multiple PLC platforms is a plus

  • Current MSHA training is a plus

Schedule: Monday–Friday, Days

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds

  • Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and climb ladders for extended periods

  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces using fall protection and other required PPE

  • Normal color vision to identify wire color-coding, plus adequate visual acuity and hearing (with correction/aids if needed) to work safely around energized equipment

  • Ability to work in all weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, and tolerate exposure to fumes, dust, diesel, solvents, sulfuric acid, and other hazardous materials

Our culture is built on four principles:

Everyone Gets Home Safe. We never put speed or cost ahead of people.

Extreme Ownership. We take full responsibility for outcomes, relentlessly driving toward solutions.

Engineer Out Requirements, then Automate. We simplify, optimize, and then automate for scale.

Share Your Legos. We collaborate openly, share knowledge, and empower each other to build bigger, better solutions.

Join us as we build the future of responsible mineral sourcing and supply!
