About the Role

Peoplebank has partnered exclusively with Gippsland Grammar to recruit an experienced ICT Manager. Gippsland Grammar is one of regional Victoria's leading co-educational independent boarding and day schools, operating across campuses in Sale and Bairnsdale. Reporting directly to the Business Manager and Principal, the ICT Manager leads the IT department, chairs the ICT Steering Committee, and oversees end-to-end IT strategy, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and support operations across the School.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategy & Leadership: Chair the ICT Steering Committee, lead operational IT strategy, and manage the IT budget and capital investments.
  • Systems & Delivery: Oversee IT systems design, development, vendor relationships, and infrastructure upgrades from business analysis through to daily operations.
  • Team Management: Direct, coach, and support the IT team (Technicians and Helpdesk staff) to deliver service level excellence.
  • Cybersecurity & Compliance: Drive cybersecurity awareness, risk management, disaster recovery execution, and ensure compliance with IT laws and regulations.
  • Digital Transformation: Partner with the Head of Digital Learning and School Leadership to integrate modern technology and e-Learning solutions.
Essential Selection Criteria
  • Proven Experience: Significant track record delivering successful IT systems design, development, and operational management in a medium-to-large organisation.
  • Technical & Governance Expertise: Deep knowledge of IT regulations, governance, risk frameworks, and system integration capabilities.
  • Leadership & People Management: Demonstrated success leading, mentoring, and developing technical teams.
  • Problem Solving & Communication: Superior analytical abilities, combined with clear written and verbal stakeholder engagement.
  • Qualifications: Tertiary degree or post-graduate qualification in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business Administration.
Desirable Skills & Attributes
  • Experience in strategic IT planning, program management, and budget control.
