Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior QA Engineer with software testing and quality assurance experience across web, enterprise, and API-based applications. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in manual and automation testing, test planning, defect management, API testing, database validation, and end-to-end application testing.

The candidate will work closely with development, product, business, and QA teams to ensure high-quality software releases and drive continuous improvements in testing processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies, test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, system, end-to-end, smoke, sanity, and exploratory testing.
  • Design and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar frameworks.
  • Perform API testing using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or similar technologies.
  • Validate backend data and business logic using SQL and database testing.
  • Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects using JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
  • Participate in requirements analysis, refinement sessions, sprint planning, and technical discussions.
  • Develop and maintain scalable test automation frameworks and reusable automation components.
  • Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
  • Perform cross-browser, compatibility, and responsive application testing.
  • Collaborate closely with developers to troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and validate fixes.
  • Review application requirements and provide feedback on testability, quality, risks, and potential defects.
  • Support UAT, production validation, release testing, and post-production verification.
  • Generate test execution reports, quality metrics, defect reports, and release-readiness status.
  • Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to QA standards, best practices, and process improvements.

Required Skills

  • 9+ years of QA / Software Testing experience
  • Strong experience in Manual and Automation Testing
  • Selenium / Playwright / Cypress or equivalent automation tools
  • API Testing: Postman, REST Assured, SOAP UI, or similar
  • Strong SQL and Database Testing skills
  • Experience with Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript for test automation
  • Test Management / Defect Tracking: JIRA, Azure DevOps, ALM, or similar
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum, and CI/CD
  • Experience with Git and CI/CD tools
  • Strong understanding of regression, integration, system, end-to-end, and performance testing concepts
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills
