Mechanical Site Service Engineer

Hours: Mon to Fri 08:00 – 16:30 hrs (plus overtime available)

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £16.00 per hour

Work Location: In person

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our Site Service Team. The role will be to support the assembly and mechanical maintenance of our products and to provide an industry leading installation service to our clients.

Job Description:

• Responsible for the installation/services/maintenance of bespoke Air Handling Units in the field

• Install part pre-assembled units, test and quality inspect products using specialist equipment where necessary

• Be competent to investigate and troubleshoot with the Products, investigating any necessary technical issues

• Mechanically install fans, motors and various other components following CAD drawings and escalating the need for electrical installation with team members

• Collaborate with Electrical Site Engineers on mechanical installation where necessary, ensuring adequate time for wiring installation by Electrical Engineers

• Liaise with necessary supporting contractors, customers and Dalair team in a professional manner always

• Remain calm whilst working under pressure and in time constrained situations

• Adapt to customer requirements as and when necessary, ensuring that supervisors are up to date of project progress

• Strict eye for detail to design specifications and customer requirements

• Adopt customer focussed approach to tasks and approach to projects

• Collaborate and co-ordinate with other Site Service Engineers to ensure project timeframes are met

• Escalate project concerns as soon as possible with your supervisor

• Proficient in using and interpreting CAD drawings

• Adaptable and resilient to project changes and updates

• Proficient in assembly and the use of hand tools

• Willing to travel to various locations across the UK, including over-night travel

• Always follow site inductions, ensuring RAMs are followed and any concerns escalate to your supervisor

• Adhere to Health, Safety, Quality, Environmental and People procedures always, escalate deviations to your supervisor

• Where site work is not available, must be willing to work within the factory environment on assembly, testing and inspection

• Able to work and adapt within small teams

Essential Criteria:

• Assembly using hand tools

• Reading CAD drawings

Desirable Criteria:

• AHU knowledge

• Previous site work experience

• CSCS (Application can be made upon offer)

• Mechanical Engineering NVQ or Equivalent
