Job Description

An opportunity to shape and grow a national practice

Are you an ambitious Commercial, Technology and Regulatory lawyer looking for the opportunity to make a real impact? This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established, ambitious law firm with a strong client base, a clear growth strategy and a genuine commitment to investing in its commercial technology and regulatory capabilities.

The firm is looking to build on the momentum of its successful commercial practice, with a particular focus on high-value, complex advisory work for major clients across the public and private sectors. Its strategy prioritises quality over volume, combining sophisticated client work with the opportunity to develop new relationships, shape service offerings and contribute meaningfully to the growth of a national platform.

With targeted investment across technology, data, artificial intelligence, digital transformation, intellectual property and regulatory advisory work, this is an opportunity for an established lawyer or ambitious senior individual to play a leading role in the next phase of the practice's development.

The opportunity

You'll work on complex, strategically important matters for a diverse client base, including major insurers, financial institutions, government bodies, healthcare organisations, technology businesses, real estate companies and international corporates.

The work spans a broad range of commercial, technology and regulatory matters, including:

Major technology projects: Advising on significant technology procurements, systems implementations, cloud migration and large-scale digital transformation programmes. AI, data and cyber security: Supporting clients on data governance, AI adoption and governance, cyber security, regulatory compliance and operational resilience. Commercial contracts and outsourcing: Advising on complex commercial arrangements, outsourcing, managed services, software-as-a-service (SaaS) and technology supply agreements. Technology-enabled regulation: Helping clients navigate evolving regulatory requirements and implement effective compliance programmes. Strategic commercial advisory: Supporting clients with business-critical technology and commercial decisions across highly regulated and technology-driven sectors.

The role offers scope to work across sectors and disciplines, developing trusted client relationships while helping the firm respond to emerging opportunities in technology, AI, data and digital transformation.

The breadth of work provides an opportunity to develop deep sector expertise while remaining at the forefront of evolving commercial and technology issues.

Why consider this opportunity?

This is more than an opportunity to join a successful team. It is a chance to influence the direction of a growing national practice, build meaningful client relationships and help shape its future proposition.

You will benefit from:

A strong platform: Access to established clients, a respected market presence and an extensive network across the public and private sectors. High-quality work: Exposure to complex, high-value advisory matters for major domestic and international organisations. A clear growth agenda: Targeted investment in technology, data, AI, intellectual property and regulatory capabilities. Scope to make a difference: The opportunity to influence strategy, develop new service offerings and play a meaningful role in the practice's continued growth. A collaborative environment: The ability to work alongside colleagues across disciplines, offices and sectors to deliver joined-up client solutions. Long-term career potential: An opportunity to build on your existing reputation, expand your market presence and contribute to the development of a national practice.
