Job description

Aquent is proud to partner with a leading organization that delivers essential services and drives innovation in its field. This company is at the forefront of digital transformation, leveraging cutting-edge technology to enhance operational efficiency and provide superior service. We are seeking a visionary and hands-on leader to join a team that values innovation, collaboration, and making a tangible impact on critical infrastructure and daily lives within the community it serves. This is your opportunity to redefine what’s possible with automation and AI, directly shaping the future of digital operations and operational excellence. Your expertise will be crucial in advancing capabilities, ensuring robust, secure, and intelligent automation that efficiently and reliably serves the community, propelling our digital transformation journey forward.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the full lifecycle delivery, from assessment and design to deployment and continuous improvement, for complex enterprise automations across multi-system environments, custom APIs, and unattended flows.
  • Design and orchestrate sophisticated agentic AI solutions, embedding stringent Responsible AI controls including grounding, permissions, guardrails, human-in-the-loop escalation, content safety, and auditability.
  • Establish and enforce architectural and engineering standards for naming conventions, source control, Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), CI/CD pipelines, Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies, security roles, service accounts, and robust exception handling.
  • Ensure the highest quality and governance through conducting peer code and architecture reviews, executing comprehensive testing (functional, integration, regression, performance), and leading deployment, smoke testing, and early life support (ELS).
  • Collaborate with platform engineers to ensure environment readiness, optimal capacity, licensing, and monitoring, while resolving L3 escalated production defects and leading root-cause analysis.
  • Drive knowledge sharing and efficiency by creating reusable components, patterns, APIs, and starter kits, fostering a culture of technical coaching, pair programming, and community-of-practice training for both engineers and citizen developers.
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor, engaging effectively with process analysts, product owners, architects, subject matter experts, and external suppliers to guide strategic decisions.

What You’ll Bring

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Hands-on mastery of Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Automate Cloud/Desktop, Power Apps, and Dataverse, alongside experience with custom connectors, APIs, and RPA tooling.
  • Demonstrated experience with Copilot Studio, agentic automation, Azure AI Foundry, Azure Integration Services, or other AI-enabled workflows.
  • Strong background in Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), CI/CD pipelines, managed solution packaging, git source control, and multi-environment deployment strategies.
  • In-depth knowledge of automation architecture, including exception patterns, telemetry/alerting, DLP policies, Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), service accounts, GDPR compliance, and ISO27001 data governance.
  • Solid understanding and practical application of Responsible AI principles, including groundedness, hallucination management, bias mitigation, data leakage prevention, and prompt-injection defense.
  • Proven leadership in technical delivery, including conducting thorough code reviews, producing comprehensive solution documentation (runbooks, SLAs, handovers), and working effectively in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • A degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering (or equivalent professional experience) with a demonstrated track record of enterprise automation delivery.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Relevant Microsoft certifications (PL-100, PL-200, PL-400) or Azure certifications (AZ-900, AI-900, AZ-204).
  • Experience in API development and familiarity with enterprise platforms such as ServiceNow, SAP, or GIS.
