This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands, takes pride in producing high-quality work, and works well in a fast-paced production environment.

What You'll Do

  • Apply full-sheet printed vinyl, cut vinyl lettering, graphics, decals, and other sign materials to a variety of substrates.
  • Properly measure, position, align, squeegee, and finish vinyl applications.
  • Apply vinyl using both dry and wet application methods when appropriate.
  • Weed, mask, trim, and prepare cut vinyl graphics for application.
  • Assemble signs and sign components according to job specifications and production drawings.
  • Install vinyl and graphics on materials such as aluminum, ACM, acrylic, PVC, corrugated plastic, and other sign substrates.
  • Inspect completed signs and graphics for alignment, bubbles, wrinkles, damage, color issues, incorrect copy, and other quality concerns.
  • Verify completed work against job paperwork and approved proofs before releasing it from production.
  • Clean and finish completed signs so they are ready for presentation to the customer.
  • Package and protect signs and graphics for installation, customer pickup, shipping, or delivery.
  • Organize completed jobs and ensure all required components, hardware, graphics, and paperwork remain together.
  • Assist other production departments with sign assembly and finishing as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe vinyl/application work area.
  • Properly care for application tools, production equipment, and materials.
  • Identify production or quality issues and communicate them before a product leaves the shop.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate is someone who is patient, accurate, mechanically inclined, and takes pride in the appearance of their finished work.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Previous vinyl application, sign production, graphics, printing, manufacturing, or assembly experience.
  • Experience applying large-format printed vinyl and cut vinyl is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to accurately read a tape measure and perform basic measurements.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality.
  • Ability to follow job specifications, written instructions, and production proofs.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to work independently while also being part of a production team.
  • Ability to recognize when something does not look correct and stop the job before a mistake progresses.
  • Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
  • Willingness to learn new materials, processes, and production techniques.

Physical Requirements

This is an active production position. Employees must be able to:

  • Stand and work at production tables for extended periods.
  • Bend, reach, lift, and move throughout the workday.
  • Safely lift and handle signs, substrates, rolls of vinyl, and production materials.
  • Work with large sheets of material that may require assistance from another employee.
  • Use hand tools, knives, squeegees, rulers, measuring equipment, and other sign-production tools safely.
