Job Description

Job Title: SAP HCM/Payroll Consultant
Location: Remote
Start Date: September
Job Type: Contract - Outside IR35

We are looking for an experienced SAP Payroll Consultant to join an established SAP HCM and Payroll team supporting a large, complex enterprise environment.

You will work across both project delivery and live service, taking ownership of Payroll-related design, configuration, issue resolution and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, configure and support SAP Payroll solutions.
  • Support and enhance SAP Payroll Control Center (PCC) processes, including payroll monitoring, validation and exception handling.
  • Work with SAP Fiori applications supporting Payroll and wider HCM processes.
  • Investigate and resolve complex production and live service issues.
  • Produce functional specifications, solution documentation and supporting WRICEF documentation.
  • Estimate and plan your own delivery activities across projects and change requests.
  • Work closely with client stakeholders, functional teams and technical specialists across onshore and offshore delivery.
  • Support new functionality, enhancements and wider transformation initiatives.

Experience Required

  • Strong hands-on experience as an SAP Payroll Consultant, ideally across multiple implementations or transformation programmes.
  • Experience with SAP Payroll Control Center (PCC), including payroll validation, monitoring and exception management.
  • Experience working with SAP Fiori in an HCM/Payroll environment.
  • Experience supporting SAP within a live production environment.
  • Good understanding of surrounding SAP technologies and integrations, including areas such as ABAP, Workflow, Security and interfaces.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Public sector experience would be advantageous.

Exposure to S/4HANA, BTP, Concur or SAP Analytics would also be beneficial.
