Senior Power BI Developer

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Analytics Consultant (Power BI) for a hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC or Irving, TX. This is a 6+ month contract opportunity.
We are seeking a Senior Power BI Developer to lead the design, development, and automation of end-to-end reporting and analytics solutions. This role requires a confident, self-driven technical leader who can mentor junior developers, drive complex projects independently, and effectively communicate with stakeholders. The candidate will use expertise in Power BI, data integration, modeling, and analytics to build scalable business intelligence solutions.
Responsibilities:

• Automate data validation, testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) processes
• Automate refreshes, monitoring, error handling, and data quality controls
• Design, build, test, and support automated ETL pipelines for Power BI semantic models, reports, and dashboards
• Enable self-service analytics through scalable reporting solutions and reusable data assets
• Integrate and transform data from enterprise sources using reusable, scalable ingestion patterns
• Optimize Power BI data models and implement data quality, lineage, security, and governance controls
• Optimize semantic models, metadata, and business definitions to improve AI-driven analytics and natural language query experiences

Requirements:

• Advanced Power BI development experience
• Strong data modeling and documentation skills
• Proficiency with GitHub and Python
• Proactive, solution-oriented, and capable of delivering scalable, high-impact business intelligence solutions
• Must be a confident, self-driven technical leader who can mentor junior developers and drive complex projects independently

Desired skills:

• Experience with Agile methodologies and ETL processes

Pay range: $43.13 - $51.13 per hour
