Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Python Developer to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Alpharetta, GA. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Python, web application development, REST APIs, backend services, databases, and modern software development practices.
The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable Python-based web applications and APIs while working closely with cross-functional development teams.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable applications using Python.
  • Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and web services.
  • Build backend services using frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
  • Integrate internal and third-party APIs and services.
  • Develop clean, reusable, maintainable, and well-documented code.
  • Work with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.
  • Write efficient SQL queries and participate in database design and optimization.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application and production issues.
  • Implement unit, integration, and API testing.
  • Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, business analysts, and other technical teams.
  • Participate in code reviews and follow software development best practices.
  • Work within Agile/Scrum development environments.
  • Use Git and standard CI/CD practices for source control and deployment.
  • Optimize applications for performance, scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Develop technical documentation for applications, APIs, and processes.
Required Skills
  • Strong hands-on experience with Python 3.x.
  • Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and Python development.
  • Experience developing web applications and backend services.
  • Strong experience with REST APIs / RESTful web services.
  • Experience with Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
  • Strong knowledge of JSON, HTTP, API integration, and web technologies.
  • Experience with relational databases and SQL.
  • Knowledge of Git/GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket.
  • Experience with unit testing and debugging.
  • Understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
