<b>Lead SOC Architect</b><br /><b>£100000 GBP</b><br /><b>Onsite WORKING</b><br /><strong>Location:</strong> Central London, Greater London - United Kingdom<strong> Type:</strong> Permanent<br /><br />Lead SOC Architect | Up to £100k | Guildford / Frimley | Hybrid<br /><br />I'm working with a leading Defence and National Security organisation looking for a Lead SOC Architect to shape and deliver complex Security Operations Centre solutions.<br /><br />This is a senior architecture position combining technical leadership, client engagement and solution design across the full SOC ecosystem.<br /><br />You'll be responsible for:<br /><br />• Architecting end-to-end SOC solutions across people, process, technology and infrastructure<br /><br />• Defining SOC concepts, CONOPS and high/low-level architecture designs<br /><br />• Working directly with senior client and government stakeholders<br /><br />• Designing and integrating security technologies including SIEM, SOAR, EDR, Threat Intelligence and Vulnerability Management<br /><br />• Assessing existing SOC capabilities and developing security maturity<br /><br />• Designing scalable, resilient on-prem and cloud security architectures<br /><br />• Supporting accreditation, security requirements and risk assessments<br /><br />• Researching and evaluating emerging security technologies and approaches<br /><br />• Providing technical leadership throughout solution design, build, deployment and operation<br /><br />They're looking for:<br /><br />• Strong experience in SOC architecture and security operations<br /><br />• Hands-on architectural experience across at least two of SIEM, SOAR, EDR, Vulnerability Management or Threat Intelligence<br /><br />• Strong understanding of security operations, threat detection and incident response<br /><br />• Experience designing both on-prem and cloud security architectures<br /><br />• Understanding of security principles including least privilege, encryption, resilience and scalability<br /><br />• Experience working with Government, Defence or other highly regulated environments<br /><br />• Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills<br /><br />• Familiarity with architectural frameworks such as TOGAF or Zachman is desirable<br /><br />• Ability to work across Agile, iterative and traditional delivery environments<br /><br />Security clearance is essential, with <strong>SC required and DV highly desirable</strong>.<br /><br />What's on offer:<br /><br />• Up to £100,000 basic salary<br /><br />• Guildford or Frimley<br /><br />• Hybrid and flexible working<br /><br />• Senior technical ownership across major Defence programmes<br /><br />• Opportunity to shape SOC solutions from initial concept through to deployment<br /><br />• Work across complex, high-security environments where the technology genuinely matters<br /><br />If you're a SOC Architect, Security Architect or senior Cyber Security professional with strong SOC design experience, I'd be keen to speak with you.<br /><br /><strong>Reference:</strong> LSOC/BCO/AMC12<br /><br />#brco
