The Role

• Operate specialized heavy equipment (hostlers, cranes, top loaders, side loaders) to load, unload, and relocate shipping containers.
• Safely move containers from railcars and trucks within the intermodal yard.
• Perform pre- and post-operation inspections of equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
• Coordinate container movements and tasks with yard personnel and supervisors.
• Maintain a safe work environment in compliance with established protocols.
• Ensure accurate and timely handling of containers to keep freight moving efficiently.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver's license is required.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs and climbing.
• Strong commitment to safety and meticulous attention to detail.
• Open availability for all shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Basic communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
• Must pass a background verification, physical, and drug screening.
