Quick Overview
Job Description
Marketing Specialist
Framingham, MA (on-site) | Full-Time | Sales & Marketing
At most companies, a marketing specialist runs one slice of somebody else's plan. This is not that job. You will be the marketing function at Superior Communication Services: our voice, our look, our story. If you want a role where your work is visible, your ideas ship, and you can point at a brand and say you built it, keep reading.
Who We Are
Superior Communication Services (SCS) is a commercial technology integrator headquartered in Framingham, Massachusetts, with regional offices in Raleigh, North Carolina; West Chicago, Illinois; and Farmers Branch, Texas. Since 2008 we have grown into a national organization delivering five practice areas: Security, WiFi and Wireless, Audio Visual, Network Cabling, and Field Services.
Our teams design and deploy the technology behind the buildings people use every day: the camera systems, the wireless networks, the conference rooms, the cabling infrastructure. We run multi-site programs across the country, from single-location projects to national rollouts in the multimillion dollar range, for customers who need one partner who can execute in every market.
We are big enough to do serious work and small enough that you will know everyone's name, including the partners. Good ideas get heard here, and they get implemented fast.
Why This Role Matters
SCS has grown largely on reputation, referral, and relationships. Our work is excellent. Our brand has not fully caught up to it. That gap is your opportunity.
We are looking for someone to take ownership of how SCS shows up in the market: on our website, across social media, in the proposals our sales team puts in front of national accounts, and at the trade shows and industry events where our customers gather. You will not be maintaining a machine somebody else built. You will be building it.
This role reports into Sales and Marketing and works directly with our sales team, our practice leaders, and company leadership. You will have real access, real budget input, and real influence over the direction of the brand.
What You Will Own
- Brand and visual identity. You are the guardian of how SCS looks and sounds. You will build and enforce consistency across proposals, presentations, collateral, signage, vehicle graphics, apparel, and every customer-facing document we produce.
- Social media. You will plan, create, and publish content across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and other channels, building an audience among facility directors, IT leaders, general contractors, and the manufacturers we partner with. You will own the content calendar.
- Website. You will keep SCS08.com current, accurate, and worth visiting. This includes project pages, service pages, careers content, and the ongoing work of turning the site into a lead source rather than a brochure.
- Content creation. Graphics, photography, video, and written copy. You will get out to job sites and capture the work we are actually doing, then turn it into case studies, project spotlights, and social content.
- Sales and business development support. You will partner with our sales team on campaigns, promotions, proposal design, presentation templates, and the vertical-market materials that help us win national accounts.
- Events and industry presence. You will support trade shows, customer events, manufacturer partner programs, and the networking activity that keeps SCS visible in our industry.
- Measurement. You will track engagement and website analytics, tell us honestly what is working and what is not, and adjust accordingly.
- Internal and employee brand. You will partner with HR and leadership on recruiting content, employee recognition, and the internal communications that make this a place people want to work.
What Success Looks Like
In your first 90 days:
- You have audited our existing brand materials, website, and social presence, and told us plainly where the gaps are.
- You have met the practice leaders and sales team and understand what SCS actually does in each of our five practice areas.
- A consistent content calendar is running and posting on schedule.
By the end of your first year:
- SCS looks like one company across every channel, document, and touchpoint.
- Our social following and engagement have grown measurably, with an audience that matches our buyers.
- The sales team reaches for your materials because they are better than what they had before.
- We have a library of project photography, case studies, and video that shows the quality of our work.

What You Bring
- Two or more years of experience in marketing, social media management, or content creation.
- Strong writing and editing skills. You can take a technical project and explain why it matters in plain language.
- Hands-on experience with social platforms and scheduling tools such as Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn, or Hootsuite.
- Working knowledge of a website content management system such as WordPress, Wix, or Squarespace.
- Comfort with design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite or Canva, plus basic photo and video editing.
- A self-starter mindset. This is a role for someone who sees what needs doing and does it, not someone waiting for an assignment queue.
- A bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent experience will absolutely be considered, and we care more about what you have made than where you studied.
Nice to have, not required:
- Experience in construction, technology, AV, security, or another business-to-business trade or technical industry.
- Familiarity with HubSpot or another CRM and marketing automation platform.
- Photography or videography experience beyond the basics.
What We Offer
- A role with genuine ownership and visibility to company leadership.
- A growing, stable company with a national footprint and a strong reputation in our industry.
- Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision)
- Retirement Plan (401k with company match)
- Company Paid Life Insurance (Basic, AD&D)
- Paid Time Off (Vacation & Public Holidays)
- Family Leave (Maternity, Paternity)
- Training & Development
- Free Food & Snacks
- Wellness Resources
- Employee Assistance Program (Mental Health Support, Legal Consultations, Childcare & Elder Care Referrals, and more!)
- Fitness & Weight Loss Reimbursement
Beyond the benefits above, what really sets us apart is our people and culture. We were named a Best Place to Work in 2026 and hold a 4.8-star rating on Indeed, and we think that says more than any list of perks could.
