Job Description

Quality Assurance Inspector

Mon-Fri 2pm-10pm

$19/hr + depending on experience

Position Summary

The Quality Assurance Inspector is responsible for inspecting raw materials, in-process production, and finished products to ensure they meet company and customer quality standards. This position plays an important role in maintaining product quality, accuracy, and consistency throughout the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect raw materials, work-in-process, and finished products.
  • Verify product dimensions, appearance, and specifications according to work orders, drawings, and quality standards.
  • Complete and maintain inspection records accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Identify, document, and report quality concerns, defects, or non-conforming materials.
  • Work closely with Production, Shipping, and Management to help maintain quality standards.
  • Assist with customer complaints, corrective actions, and quality investigations as needed.
  • Maintain organized quality records and documentation.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Keep the work area clean, organized, and inspection-ready.
  • Provide support to other departments as needed to help achieve company goals.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and move from one task to another as priorities change throughout the day.
  • Willingness to step in and assist where help is needed.
  • Ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude while working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Manufacturing or quality inspection experience preferred.

Preferred Skills

  • Basic computer skills, including data entry, email, and Microsoft Office programs.
  • Understanding of basic measuring tools such as:
    • Tape Measures
    • Calipers
    • Snap Gauges
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions, drawings, and specifications.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Production, Shipping, and Management regarding quality concerns.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
  • Ability to perform repetitive inspection tasks throughout the shift.
