Application Architect

Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Architect - Hybrid for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Jersey City, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

We are seeking an experienced Application Architect to join a Market Risk Technology team. This role requires strong hands-on application development experience to help design, build, and modernize scalable applications that support critical market risk business capabilities. The ideal candidate is a strong technical leader with an application architecture mindset, proven engineering discipline, and the ability to partner with global teams to deliver high-quality solutions in an agile environment.

Responsibilities:

• Design scalable, maintainable application architectures using modern engineering patterns and best practices
• Guide technical decisions and resolve complex application design challenges
• Partner effectively across business, technology, and global delivery teams
• Take ownership from solution design through delivery

Requirements:

• Strong hands-on application development experience using Python, Java, React, and SQL
• Strong database design and development experience, including SQL performance tuning and data model design
• Experience delivering enterprise applications in a high-pressure financial services environment
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated technical leader

Desired skills:

• Experience working with Quartz
• Investment Banking Domain experience - Risk and/or product knowledge
• Experience of working in an Agile/Scrum team

Pay range: $63.68 - $71.68 per hour
