Windchill Developer

We are seeking an experienced Windchill Developer with strong expertise in PTC Windchill PLM to design, develop, customize, and support enterprise Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Windchill customization, workflow development, integrations, and Java-based development while working closely with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, customize, and support PTC Windchill PLM solutions.
• Configure and customize Windchill workflows, lifecycles, business rules, and object types.
• Develop Java-based customizations, extensions, and integrations.
• Integrate Windchill with enterprise applications such as ERP, CAD, and other third-party systems.
• Develop and maintain REST/SOAP APIs, web services, and data integrations.
• Troubleshoot production issues, optimize system performance, and provide technical support.
• Participate in requirements gathering, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Create technical documentation, design specifications, and deployment guides.
• Collaborate with business users, architects, QA teams, and offshore/onshore development teams.
• Support Windchill upgrades, migrations, and system enhancements.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with PTC Windchill PLM.
• Strong experience with Windchill customization and configuration.
• Proficiency in Java, J2EE, JSP, Servlets, XML, JavaScript, HTML, CSS.
• Experience developing Windchill Workflows, Lifecycles, OIRs, Soft Types, and Business Rules.
• Experience with Info*Engine, Windchill APIs, and REST/SOAP Web Services.
• Strong knowledge of Windchill PDMLink and Product Data Management.
• Experience integrating Windchill with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and CAD tools (Creo preferred).
• Strong SQL/database knowledge (Oracle or SQL Server).
• Experience with source control tools such as Git.
• Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Windchill RV&S (Integrity).
• Knowledge of ThingWorx and IoT integrations.
• Experience with PTC Navigate.
• Exposure to Windchill upgrades and migration projects.
• Experience working in Manufacturing, Automotive, Aerospace, Industrial, or Medical Device domains.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Nice to Have

• PTC Windchill Certification.
• Experience with PLM implementation or modernization projects.
• Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
