Forward Deployment Engineer

Job Title: Senior Forward Deployed Engineer (AI/GenAI)
Location: Remote
Duration: 12+ Months Contract / Contract-to-Hire
Compensation: Negotiable

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) to lead AI-driven digital transformation initiatives for enterprise clients. This role combines 60% technical and 40% functional/business consulting, requiring professionals who can engage with executive stakeholders, understand complex business challenges, and rapidly design, build, and deploy AI-powered solutions. Candidates should have deep expertise in one of the following domains:

• Finance & Accounting
• Manufacturing / Plant Maintenance (MES/PLM)
• Food / FMCG
• Agribusiness / Commodities (Salesforce preferred)

Required Qualifications:

• 12+ years of combined industry and technology experience.
• Strong functional expertise in one of the required business domains.
• Proven experience leading enterprise transformation initiatives and delivering measurable business outcomes.
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI, including LLMs (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini), RAG, AI Agents, Prompt Engineering, LangChain, CrewAI, or AutoGen.
• Strong programming skills in Python and at least one additional programming language.
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases, ETL/ELT, data modeling, and enterprise analytics.
• Experience with Azure (preferred), AWS, or Google Cloud Platform, Docker, Kubernetes, APIs, and cloud-native architectures.
• Familiarity with enterprise platforms such as SAP, Salesforce, ERP, CRM, MES, PLM, or other domain-specific systems.
• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, software engineering, and AI solution deployment.
• Excellent communication skills with experience presenting solutions to business leaders and executive stakeholders.
