Senior Product Manager, Specialty Chemicals Supply Chain

Orangeburg, NY (Hybrid, 30 minutes north of NYC)

Own the product lines, demand plan, and inventory for a global specialty chemical leader, and lead the product management and customer service teams. This role blends classic product management with hands-on supply chain and plant coordination, and pays up to $153K plus an 8 to 12% bonus.

Must-Haves

  • 5 to 10 years in a chemical-related business in supply chain, product management, or planning
  • Bachelor's degree in business or a technology-related field
  • Strong SAP skills
  • Advanced Excel, plus PowerPoint and Access or similar
  • Ability to analyze sales, forecast, and budget data (quantity, revenue, price, margin)
  • Direct customer-facing experience
  • Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship

What You'll Do

  • Own demand planning and forecasting for all product lines
  • Manage product lifecycles, including new product registration, commercialization, and scale-up
  • Serve as the main commercial link to the plant, turning demand into production, purchasing, inventory, and logistics plans
  • Own inventory levels and lead MRB reviews for slow-moving, excess, and off-spec material
  • Supervise product managers, product specialists, and the customer service team
  • Set and track customer service metrics for order accuracy, on-time delivery, and backlog
  • Present products to customers and prospects, and partner with Sales and Business Directors on growth plans
  • Travel domestically and internationally as needed
