Job Description
We have an opportunity for a Quality Inspector / Vehicle Valeter to join our team at Volkswagen Van Centre in Portsmouth.
As a detail -orientated QI Valeter, you will be responsible for managing our sales forecourt and ensuring all rental vehicles meet company standards before being released to customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for vehicle inspections, preparation, valeting support, and assisting with vehicle deliveries and collections.

Your responsibilities will include:
Carry out quality inspections on rental vehicles before and after hire.
Identify, record, and report vehicle damage, defects, and maintenance requirements.
Ensure vehicles are cleaned, valeted, and presented to the highest standard.
Check vehicle documentation, fuel levels, tyre condition, fluid levels, and safety equipment.
Prepare vehicles for customer collection and delivery.
Complete vehicle condition reports accurately using company systems.
Assist with vehicle deliveries and collections as required.
Support fleet management activities, including vehicle movements between sites.
Ensure company standards and health & safety procedures are always followed.
Work closely with the rental, workshop, and valeting teams to maximise fleet availability.
Assist across different operational areas, which includes Poole, Southampton, Portsmouth and the Isle of White
What you will need to be a QI Valeter at Volkswagen Van Centre
Previous experience within vehicle rental, quality inspection, valeting, or an automotive environment is desirable.
Excellent attention to detail.
Reliable and hard-working individual
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills.
Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
Hours of work will be:
40 hours a week, Monday to Friday - 8.30 am to 17.00 pm
