Systems Administrator III/Tools Engineer

GovCIO is currently hiring for Systems Administrator Level III/Tools Engineer, for our NIH-CIT proposal. This position is located in Bethesda, MD and is a remote/hybrid position.

Responsibilities

This role's responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Mentor junior engineers/analysts on the network tools team Support the Tools Team Lead's objectives
• Assist with reviewing threshold and performance monitoring to enhance reporting of metrics to inform trend analysis and capacity planning.
• Assist with tool enhancement recommendations to improve CIT's ability to detect and eliminate threats.
• Optimize CIT's existing comprehensive suite of tools used to manage the NIH networks.
• Assist with the detailed recommendations for augmenting and consolidating tools to maximize functionality and return on investments.
• Proactively test and implement vendor upgrades and patches by following the appropriate change and configuration management processes, while validating and maintain compliance with security requirements.
• Contribute domain knowledge towards the System Accreditation and Authorization documentation.
• Peer review deliverables from junior engineers/analysts

Qualifications

Bachelor's with 5-8 years of experience (or commensurate experience)

Required Skills and Experience

• Clearance Required: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance

Preferred Skills and Experience

• CCNA/CCNP

USD $71,150.00 - USD $88,336.00 /Yr.
