The Role • Operate specialized heavy equipment, including hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders, to move shipping containers. • Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks, ensuring accuracy and safety. • Drive hostlers to organize and position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard. • Perform pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to maintain safety standards. • Collaborate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate daily logistics tasks. • Uphold safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment. What You'll Need • A valid driver’s license is mandatory. • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks. • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety in all operations. • Basic communication skills and the ability to function effectively within a team. • Must be able to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening.
