job summary:

Leidos is seeking an Azure Cloud & Systems Administrator to support a critical infrastructure program for a Federal Law Enforcement Agency in Washington, DC. In this role, you will manage, optimize, and secure core Windows/Linux operating environments and enterprise storage systems, playing a vital role in maintaining high system availability and national security infrastructure.

responsibilities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain, patch, and administer Windows Server and Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, RedHat) operating systems across hybrid and on-premises environments.
• Manage enterprise SAN, NAS, and RAID storage systems, overseeing volume allocations and storage capacity planning.
• Implement server security hardening, access controls, Active Directory Group Policies, and vulnerability updates.
• Monitor system uptime, resource utilization, and operational performance using enterprise monitoring suites.
• Collaborate with disaster recovery teams to execute routine backup and restoration procedures.

qualifications:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or 4+ years of equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree).

3+ years of experience in system administration, specifically with Windows Server and Linux platforms.

3+ years of experience managing enterprise storage systems (SAN, NAS, RAID).

Proven experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and system security/patching best practices.

Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance (requires background check and credit check).

Ability to work 100% on-site in Washington, DC.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with Microsoft Azure or hybrid cloud infrastructure integrations.

Hands-on shell scripting and automation experience (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, PowerShell).

Active Linux (RHCSA) or Microsoft Server certifications.
