Job Description

UKG Pro WFM Systems Administrator

Permanent / Direct Hire Opportunity

Hybrid | 3 Days Onsite in Northern Indiana

$125,000 to $140,000

Own the UKG Environment. Shape What Comes Next.

This is not your typical UKG Administrator role. Our client is looking for a highly skilled, hands-on UKG Pro WFM professional who wants to do more than maintain an existing system. This is a brand-new position created through growth and an opportunity to take ownership of a critical UKG environment within a rapidly growing, acquisition-driven organization.

You will have a direct voice in UKG configuration, system optimization, release management, process standardization, documentation, training, acquisitions, and the long-term UKG roadmap.

The environment is fast, lean, collaborative, and entrepreneurial, with a strong focus on getting things done. As the organization continues to grow through acquisitions, you will play an important role in bringing new companies, employees, processes, and configurations into a scalable UKG environment.

If you are the type of UKG professional who enjoys solving the problem instead of simply escalating it, researching how the system works, understanding downstream impacts, building the right solution, and seeing that solution through to implementation, this role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact.

What You'll Own

  • Driving the configuration, optimization, and continuous improvement of the UKG Pro WFM environment as the organization grows
  • Solving complex UKG challenges by researching functionality, identifying root causes, evaluating downstream impacts, and developing effective solutions
  • Designing and implementing UKG configurations supporting policies, pay rules, work rules, system enhancements, change requests, and evolving business requirements
  • Owning UKG release testing by researching new functionality, evaluating system changes, identifying potential impacts, and determining appropriate testing strategies
  • Leading UKG Accruals initiatives including configuration, policy changes, consolidation, troubleshooting, enhancements, and ongoing optimization
  • Managing UKG Pay and Work Rules functionality including timekeeping, exceptions, pay codes, pay code definitions, and related configuration
  • Supporting UKG Attendance functionality through configuration, troubleshooting, enhancements, and evolving business requirements
  • Driving UKG integration and standardization efforts as newly acquired companies are brought into the organization
  • Building scalable UKG processes, documentation, SOPs, work instructions, and training resources that make the system easier for the business to use
  • Creating engaging user enablement through micro videos, screen share demonstrations, virtual training, and small group sessions with business leaders and stakeholders
  • Partnering with HRIS leadership, HR, department leaders, and business stakeholders to translate business needs into practical UKG solutions
  • Influencing the long-term UKG roadmap by researching capabilities, identifying opportunities, and recommending how the organization can get more value from the platform

Qualifications

  • Deep hands-on experience with UKG Pro WFM and a strong technical configuration background
  • Significant experience with UKG Accruals including configuration, policy changes, consolidation, troubleshooting, and enhancements
  • Strong experience with UKG Pay and Work Rules including timekeeping, exceptions, pay codes, pay code definitions, and related configuration
  • Experience supporting the UKG Attendance module
  • Proven experience managing UKG release testing and evaluating the downstream impact of system changes
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to independently research issues and develop effective solutions
  • Strong technical UKG configuration capabilities beyond purely functional or administrative HRIS responsibilities
  • Strong technical documentation skills including SOPs, end user work instructions, process documentation, and training materials
  • Experience creating micro videos, screen share demonstrations, and virtual training for small groups and business leaders
  • Experience supporting UKG environments through acquisitions, integrations, organizational changes, and system standardization
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a broader HRIS organization while independently owning UKG initiatives
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience supporting a high-growth, acquisition-driven organization
  • Experience integrating newly acquired companies into an established UKG environment
  • Experience standardizing UKG configurations and processes across multiple business units or environments
  • Experience within manufacturing, engineering, distribution, wholesale, or another complex operational environment
  • Experience developing user training programs and self-service enablement resources

Why This Opportunity?

  • $125,000 to $140,000 salary range
  • Brand-new position created through organizational growth
  • Hybrid schedule with 3 days per week onsite in Northern Indiana
  • Opportunity to own and influence a critical UKG Pro WFM environment
  • Direct partnership with HRIS leadership and key business stakeholders
  • Meaningful involvement in acquisitions, integrations, standardization, optimization, and roadmap development
  • Opportunity to build scalable UKG processes rather than simply maintaining the status quo
  • Fast-moving environment where your technical expertise and ideas can directly influence the organization
  • Collaborative HRIS team with both technical and functional expertise
  • Opportunity to become a key UKG subject matter expert within a growing organization

If you're a UKG Pro WFM professional who wants more ownership, more influence, and the opportunity to make a measurable impact, this could be the role you've been looking for. Apply today to be considered for this high-impact opportunity.
