Job Description
Supported Living Facilitator - Disability Services, NDIS - Annerley (Casual)
Remuneration: $32.87 to $43.23 p/hr (including casual loading) + Super + NFP Salary Packaging.
Applications will be reviewed as they are received; the role may close early if the right applicant is found.
Responsibilities- Work in partnership with the person being supported, their family and informal support networks, to attain the hopes and aspirations they have established for their lives.
- Provide support to people in their everyday living situations, including personal care as identified, with an emphasis on choice and quality of life.
- Participate in the development, implementation and review of individual plans that focus on the life hopes and aspirations of people.
- Enable people to attain personal autonomy over their own lives and the services they receive.
- Recognise and uphold the right to respect, privacy, dignity and confidentiality of the person being supported and their family.
- A relevant industry qualification (e.g., Certificate 3 in Disability or Individual Support) is desirable.
- Experience working in the Disability, Aged or Community sector is ideal but not essential - a positive attitude and a willingness to learn are required.
- A current NDIS Worker Screening check and Blue Card (or in the process of obtaining).
- Current open driver's licence.
- Current CPR and First Aid Certificate (required before you start).
- Ability to work effectively with others in a team oriented environment and provide excellent support to clients and colleagues.
- Flexibility to work varied hours and days, and reliability to meet the needs of the people we support.
- Effective communication in spoken and written English.
