Job Description

Supported Living Facilitator - Disability Services, NDIS - Annerley (Casual)

Remuneration: $32.87 to $43.23 p/hr (including casual loading) + Super + NFP Salary Packaging.

Responsibilities
  • Work in partnership with the person being supported, their family and informal support networks, to attain the hopes and aspirations they have established for their lives.
  • Provide support to people in their everyday living situations, including personal care as identified, with an emphasis on choice and quality of life.
  • Participate in the development, implementation and review of individual plans that focus on the life hopes and aspirations of people.
  • Enable people to attain personal autonomy over their own lives and the services they receive.
  • Recognise and uphold the right to respect, privacy, dignity and confidentiality of the person being supported and their family.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • A relevant industry qualification (e.g., Certificate 3 in Disability or Individual Support) is desirable.
  • Experience working in the Disability, Aged or Community sector is ideal but not essential - a positive attitude and a willingness to learn are required.
  • A current NDIS Worker Screening check and Blue Card (or in the process of obtaining).
  • Current open driver's licence.
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certificate (required before you start).
  • Ability to work effectively with others in a team oriented environment and provide excellent support to clients and colleagues.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours and days, and reliability to meet the needs of the people we support.
  • Effective communication in spoken and written English.
