Business Analyst

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support enterprise IT application initiatives by collaborating with business and technical teams to gather requirements, improve business processes, and deliver high-quality software solutions. The role requires strong expertise in Agile methodologies, requirements management, testing, and stakeholder communication within complex IT environments.

This opportunity is based in Richmond, VA, with a hybrid schedule requiring 3 days per week onsite. The position is open to candidates within a 100-mile radius of Richmond, VA. The client is only considering candidates who can work without requiring present or future employment sponsorship.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements for enterprise IT applications
• Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and requirements elicitation sessions
• Create and manage product backlogs, epics, features, user stories, tasks, and test plans using Azure DevOps
• Develop business process documentation, swim lane diagrams, flowcharts, wireframes, and process models
• Translate business requirements into functional and non-functional specifications
• Support Agile, Scrum, SAFe, Kanban, and Waterfall project delivery methodologies
• Develop test strategies, test plans, test cases, and support System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Collaborate with developers, business stakeholders, and project teams to ensure successful solution delivery
• Support system implementations, user adoption, and business process improvements
• Communicate project status, risks, and recommendations to technical and business audiences
