Junior Software Developer with Security Clearance

Description Greenfield Engineering, a Saalex Company is seeking Junior Software Developer in Patuxent River, MD to support mission-critical DoD programs through the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software solutions. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in computer science, hands-on development experience, and familiarity with Agile methodologies to contribute to secure, scalable applications in a collaborative environment. Position Type: Full-Time Salary: $75k-$85k annually (depending on experience)
Work Location: Onsite. Essential Functions: * Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications using modern programming practices
* Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in C# and other object-oriented languages
* Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
* Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects to ensure system reliability and performance
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement technical solutions
* Support system enhancements by adding new features and optimizing existing functionality
* Contribute to software testing efforts, including unit testing and integration testing
* Assist with version control, build pipelines, and deployment activities
* Other duties as assigned or required Requirements Required: * Experience developing in C#
* Experience working in an Agile environment (Scrum or similar)
* Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC)
* Experience with debugging, testing, and maintaining applications Desired: * Experience with Python, Java, or JavaScript
* Exposure to cloud technologies (AWS preferred)
* Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, or Jenkins
* Experience with web development frameworks (React, Flask, Spring Boot)
* Knowledge of databases (SQL or NoSQL) Education/Years of Experience: * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Engineering discipline (must be a completed, accredited degree) required.
