Overview

The Department of Health plays a critical role in the Victorian health system and is responsible for shaping it to meet the health needs of all Victorians. We're focused on supporting Victorians to be as healthy as they can through alerting them to seasonal risks like thunderstorm asthma, notifying them of contact with communicable diseases, safeguarding their drinking water, developing the best health, wellbeing and care facilities in the world, being at the forefront of mental health and wellbeing treatment or accelerating medical research. It's all part of the way we partner with the community to help every individual lead a healthy life.

About the role

The Data Analyst sits within the Business Systems team working in the Evidence Outcomes and Information Systems unit of the Mental Health and Wellbeing division at the Department of Health. This role is responsible for a range of duties centred on the analysis of quantitative and qualitative data, primarily using Tableau Business Intelligence software, to inform program development, performance reporting and strategic planning for the Gambling Harm Prevention and Response (GHPR) program. The role supports the achievement of improved community and client service outcomes through the analysis and reporting of data collected by external agencies funded by the Department to provide counselling and support services to people impacted by gambling harm.
