Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced IT Manager to play a pivotal role in the development of a new manufacturing operation.

This is a rare opportunity to join a business during a critical growth phase, taking ownership of both IT and Operational Technology (OT) environments as the site transitions from build and commissioning into full-scale production.

Reporting into senior leadership, you'll be responsible for shaping and implementing the technology strategy, ensuring secure, scalable, and integrated systems are in place to support production, operations, and corporate functions.

The Role

  • Lead the development and delivery of the company's IT and OT strategy.
  • Build and support infrastructure, networks, cloud services, and business-critical systems.
  • Oversee the implementation and integration of ERP, MES, CRM, and other operational platforms.
  • Drive cybersecurity, disaster recovery, and business continuity initiatives.
  • Support commissioning activities and ensure technology readiness for operational scale-up.
  • Manage technology suppliers, procurement, and external partners.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage emerging technologies, automation, and AI to improve operational performance.

About You

  • Proven experience as an IT Manager or senior IT professional within manufacturing, industrial, engineering, or process-led environments.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, cloud technologies, and cybersecurity.
  • Experience implementing or supporting ERP, MES, or similar enterprise systems.
  • Comfortable operating in a hands-on capacity while contributing strategically.
  • Experience delivering technology projects and business system integrations.
  • Exposure to greenfield, start-up, expansion, or transformation environments would be highly advantageous.

Why Apply?

  • Opportunity to build and shape an IT & OT function from the ground up.
  • Join a major manufacturing investment at a critical stage of its journey.
  • Broad remit spanning infrastructure, systems, cybersecurity, automation, and digital transformation.
  • Significant influence on technology strategy and future business growth.
  • Opportunity to drive Industry 4.0 and AI-enabled initiatives.
